“It’s better to be alone than to be in bad company.”
ANON

I think that this statement is true. You are better off being alone than being with a bad company. Bad company meaning that they are people who Choose The Wrong. You’d be better off alone because you won’t be doing any of the bad things that they are doing like drugs or alcohol. You’ll be safe and sound alone or maybe with others who Choose The Right. One example of this might be if you are hanging out with a group of friends at a party and they ask you if you want to smoke. You make the decision to leave the group and be alone. This is better, not only are you Choosing the Right by saying no, but you are improving your health and habits by doing so. You would be better off alone than with them.

“You cannot do wrong and feel right. It is impossible.”
Ezra T. Benson

This quote is very true. You can never do something bad and feel good about it. You might feel well at the beginning, but as soon as you realize what you have done, then you will start to feel bad for what you have done. Like the other quote says, when you do good you’ll feel good, and when you do bad, you’ll feel bad. You cannot commit something bad and feel good about it, it is not possible for you to feel that way, it is either you do good and feel good, or do bad and feel bad. You can’t feel both at the same time.

“The only difference between those who have failed and those who have succeeded lies in the difference of their habits. Good habits are the key to all success. Bad habits are the unlocked door to failure. Thus, the first law I will obey, which precedeth all others is—‘I will form good habits and become their slaves.’ ”
Og Mandino

This quote is very true. There are many reasons why people either have success or failure, and it mostly relies on the habits that they possess. For example, someone might start with the habits of stealing things from stores and their habit will catch up to them when they get caught. Or, someone who, from the start, helps others as a habit will continue doing this and will soon be on their way to the path of success. Also, the law that he talks about is what you should do. Start a good habit and you will soon fall a slave to it, doing it whenever you can without even realizing it. Be the good habits slave, not the bad one.

“Goodness is the only investment that never fails.”
Henry David Thoreau

This statement is true. There is no bad investment in choosing the right. It can never fail you. When you invest on choosing the right, you gain a lot of profit from it, a lot of good comes out of it. You might feel better or might have a nice experience doing what you were doing. Also, it never fails you because it can never go bad. It can’t crash or drop in its value, it always stays the same. This investment will always take you far every day, and make you feel better about everything.

Successful Students 10

10. Successful students are good times managers. Successful students do not procrastinate. They have learned that time control is life control and have consciously chosen to be in control of their life.

An elemental truth: you will either control time or be controlled by it! It’s your choice: you can lead or be led, establish control or relinquish control, steer your own course or follow others. Failure to take control of their own time is probably the no. 1 study skills problem for college students. It ultimately causes many students to become non-students! Procrastinators are good excuse-makers. Don’t make academics harder on yourself than it has to be. Stop procrastinating. And don’t wait until tomorrow to do it!
The 10 items listen above are paraphrased from an article by Larry M Ludewig called Ten Commandments for Effective Study Skills which appeared in the Teaching Professor, December, 1992.

“It is our duty to concentrate all our influence to make popular that which is sound and good, and (to make) unpopular which is unsound (and not good).”
Joseph Smith

What he means is that it is our duty to bring the good forth in people. Make the good come out in people and make it go everywhere in the world. To make what is sound and good popular, which means wanting everyone to choose the right. On the other hand, he wants to make everything that is wrong not popular anymore. Meaning that everything that involves choosing the wrong should be suppressed. Make it unpopular and make people not want it. This is what everyone should be doing today in the world.

“I know only that what is moral is what you feel good after and what is immoral is what you feel bad after.”
Ernest Hemingway
Pay attention to what’s right and what’s wrong.

I think that he’s trying to tell us about our morals. I think that what he means is that depending on who you are, what makes you feel good or right are your morals. What makes you feel bad is your immoral. Take me for example, when I get done with my homework, I feel a sense of accomplishment and good inside of me and I know that that is a good moral, on the other hand, if I don’t do my homework and show up the next day to class, I feel guilt and I feel bad, that is my immoral speaking to me. What right and what is wrong is all up to you.

“My strength is as the strength of ten because my heart is pure.”
Alfred, Lord Tennyson

This statement is great. This shows you what you really are when you do good things. Since he is pure of heart, meaning that he has never done anything bad and has stayed on the right path, he is stronger than others because of his pureness. He is better than others too, because of what he is able to do. He has the strength of ten because of what he has achieved and because of what kind of person he is. I think everyone should be like this, with a pure heart, mind, body, and soul. This is a great statement that everyone should see. c:

“Seek to do good and you will find that happiness will run after you.”
James Freeman Clarke

I agree with this statement. When you start to do good, or seek to do it, then happiness will chase after you. When you do good, you feel happy, and when you do bad you feel bad. For example, if you do drugs then you will are doing bad things. Then bad feeling will chase after you. When you don’t do drugs and choose the right, then you don’t feel sick and the happiness will chase after you. Another example I can say is when you decide to help people. You will feel good and stay feeling good for a period of time. On the other hand, when you start to not help people and actually go against them, then you will see that bad things will start chasing you. When you chase after the good things, then good things will come back to chase you too. (:

“There is no set path, just follow your heart.”
Anon

I agree with this statement. There is no set path which means that your choices determine you future destiny. If you make bad choices in life then you will be following the bad path in life and if you make the right choices then you will be following the right path. It all depends on what your heart tells you. Your heart will know what is right and wrong for you and depending on who you are then that will determine what path you take. Just follow your heart. (:

“You will never regret doing what’s right.”
Anon

I think that this is true. You will never regret doing what you think is right. When you CTR, you feel really good and warm inside. You know in your mind that you did something good and therefor you don’t regret what you did. On the other hand when you CTW you feel bad, guilt, and melancholy for what you did. That is why many people regret doing what they think was wrong. When people regret, that’s when you can tell that they didn’t do what was right. If people don’t regret, then you can tell they actually did what was right.
