Student Success Statement

Student Success Statement
“Stop worrying about whether you’re going to win or lose and focus your full attention on what’s happening right this moment.”
-Phil Jackson

2 World Championships-Player
2 High School Championships-Player

I agree with Phil. You should be focused on what you are doing right now and not on what could happen. If you don’t focus on the present, the lack of focus will affect the outcome of your future. When you focus more, there is a higher probability that you will be able to receive the outcome that you want. For example, if you want to win a stuffed animal at the skill games in the carnival, you need to focus on the game that you are playing and not let your mind wander off to what might happen. When focused, you clear your mind and you go for what you want and the concentration is key to winning at anything. So keep your focus and you will be able to achieve your victory.

“You must live in the present to secure your future.”
Reverend Robert Craig
I think that Robert is right. You have to focus on what is happening right now to secure what might happen later on in the future. Let go of the past, even if it was something big or small, good or bad, and focus on now. What you do now determines how your future will be, your future changes based on what you do or how well you do. Your future is almost going to be determined solely by you. Just try to work hard now and focus on what you are doing rather than worrying about what might happen later.  For example, if you still cling to what happened in 5th period in school, and not focus about 6th, then you won’t be able to secure what might happen during the next period or the next day. You should be focusing on only 6th. Focus now, worry later.
