Student Success Statement

Student Success Statement
“To see what is right and not do it, it is want of courage.”
Confucius
I agree with Confucius. If you see something right and you choose not to do the same thing, it is the want of courage. You are not doing what you are supposed to. For example, if you see someone helping someone across the street, and you don’t do the same when help is needed, then you not doing any good. You are always supposed to follow someone in their good footsteps. There is nothing that you can’t do if it involves doing something that is right.

“To know what is right and not do it is the worst cowardice”
Confucius

I think that this statement is correct. The worst cowardice is when you know what is right and you don’t do it. For example, if you see a robbery take place or someone stealing and you know what is the right thing to do (which is to report it) and you don’t do it, then that is the worst cowardice. You know that doing the right thing is better but because you are a coward, you choose not to do it. You should always have the courage and bravery to stand up for what is right and not be a coward. You will go far in life if you do so.
